Experimentations (Discovery)
Basic Phial Experimentation and
Basic Potion Experimentation are the sources of almost every new potion and flask. The chance to discover potions or flasks is not 100%, but you will usually get at least one from doing 10 Experimentations.
It will take some time to discover everything because you can only get a limited number of Artisan's Mettle each week. (it's BoP, so you can't buy any) Also, while doing experiments, sometimesyou will get a debuff that will prevent you from doing more experiments for 4 hours.
Dragon's Alchemical Solution is one of the reagents used for Alchemy Experimentations. You can get them by destroying Dragon Isle potions and flasks with the
Reclaim Concoctions spell. (similar to disechanting)
Alchemy Specializations
There are three new Alchemy Specializations in Dragonflight: Potion Mastery, Phial Mastery, and Alchemical Theory
Choosing one specialization won't lock you out from choosing the others, you can have all of them with high enough profession skill. You will unlock the first Specialization at skill 25, the second at 50, and the third at 100.
Potion Mastery
Putting points into Potion Mastery increase your ability to craft Potions at a higher quality and more efficiently.
- Non-combat potions last longer.
Reclaim Concoctions grants additional
Dragon's Alchemical Solution from potions.
- Ability to add Finishing Reagents to Potions
- Higher chance of discovering new potions
- Multicraft grants up to 50% more Potions.
Phial Mastery
Putting points into Phial Mastery increase your ability to craft Phial at a higher quality and more efficiently.
- Phials will last longer.
Reclaim Concoctions grants additional
Dragon's Alchemical Solution from Phials.
- Ability to add Finishing Reagents to Phials
- Higher chance to discover new Phials.
- Multicraft grants up to 50% more Phials.
Alchemical Theory
Putting points into Alchemical Theory gives you a variety of passive bonuses for all your craft, and there is a specific talent for Transmutes.
- Inspiration gives more bonus skill.
- Resourcefulness saves even more materials.
- Ability to discover new Toxic potions not available to other Alchemists.
- Transmutation cooldown is 13 Hours instead of 24.
Profession Tools and Accessories
Profession Tools and Accessories will give you bonuses to Alchemy Skill, Multicraft, Inspiration, Crafting Speed, and Resourcefulness.
You can equip one Tool and two Accessories, but the Accessories can't be from the same category. (you can't equip two Alchemist's Robe)
None of these below can be crafted by Alchemists, so you have to buy them from the Auction House or with Crafting Orders.

Transmutations
Transmutation cooldowns work a bit differently. Instead of having just one 24-hour cooldown, you gain a "transmute charge" every 24 hours, up to 7 charges. This means you no longer have to log in daily, you can save up transmute charges and do all of them at once. The cooldown and the charges are shared between the new transmutes, so it's not 1 charge for each.
