As leaders, we do have to be really mindful of our employees needs and wants and justice, really be good listeners because if you create that environment where it is safe to speak up, then our employees are going to tell us what it is that they need. And then you have to manage of course within constraints of taking care of the patient, in this case our customers and also our employees.

No matter what your role is, your goal is the same as everyone else...Help the organization succeed. This can be hard in support roles like HR and L&D because our impact is less direct. We are further from the actual work. However, this doesn't mean we are less important. It means your actions can have an even bigger impact.Being further from the work puts you at the end of a very long lever. Small movements in that level can have huge impacts.Want the business to reward you?Solve business problems.Want to hear more of this conversation? The book I cannot wait to read after listening to Jessica Z. on the HR Director’s Cut podcast. It focuses on the employee experience and how to improve business performance by developing ways of working that are people-centred, but taking the exployee experience and looking at it as a product management approach! Will report back on my findings! #employeeexperience #workplaceculture #leadership #talent #engagement
